Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Kharif Mechanised Sowing of Paddy 2025

Panaji : Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Kharif Mechanised Sowing of Paddy 2025 in the esteemed presence of our Agriculture Minister Shri Ravi Naik, Dr. Praveen Kumar from ICAR, Fr Clive Teles, Fr George, Shri Sandeep Faldesai (Director of Agriculture) and officials from KVK North and South Goa, at Don Bosco Society, Raia.

CM stated that it was a proud moment to witness Goa’s vibrant farming community come together for this transformative step in our agricultural journey. He thanked the Don Bosco Society for their decade-long dedication in mechanizing paddy cultivation and reviving fallow and khazan lands across our state.

CM stated that he launched Goa’s first agriculture drone, marking a historic moment, and announcing our Drone Didi initiative with 10 more drones on the way to empower our women farmers. He congratulated Fr George and his team for effectively utilizing the Government’s schemes and infrastructure. HCM said that Goa’s agricultural policy support, from KCC, PM-KUSUM, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi to the recently unveiled Goa State Amritkal Agricultural Policy 2025, is paving the way for innovation, sustainability, and prosperity for every Goan farmer.

CM emphasized that the state’s collective vision is clear: to make Goa a model of self-reliant, tech-enabled, and farmer-first development.
